Kuntal Barai

Kuntal Barai

Born in 1987 in Barishal, Bangladesh, Kuntal Barai holds an MFA (2012) and a BFA (2010) in Drawing and Painting from the University of Development Alternative (UODA).

He established a powerful artistic focus, dedicating the last 12 years to a comprehensive series exploring the dynamism and inherent contradictions of Dhaka City. His work scrutinizes the capital's unique "life" and the visual and existential impact of its constant, unplanned development, particularly the intense subject of its daily traffic.
